MEDITERRANEAN HOUSe
An alternative approach to the traditional Mediterranean housing. Based of 3 independent masses each serving as a separate living space. This nodal massing concept is then bind with a 4th player - a circulation element that is mainly composed of oxidized copper and glass surfaces bringing an post modern industrial touch to the overall design as in contrast to the minimal white masses.
The interior layout is composed of sheared mezzanine floors that helps created loft like double height spaces spaces. On ground floor the Left component- closer to the sea - is composed of a living area and a private recording studio while the far right component is composed of a generous kitchen and a dining area. All of these spaces centered by a common exterior yard with a swimming pool.
The upper floors are consisted mainly of Bedrooms - the right component being the master bedroom area - the west component has 2 bedrooms, a common study area at the south and a storage/family room at the north. These rooms are all detached from the exterior walls, allowing the living areas to have double height spaces while also helping the bedrooms to space out from the south facade allowing them stay under shade during high noon.
